Modalità is the new project by Rustik, a manufacturing company established over 30 years ago in an area that boasts a long tradition of working wood and manufacturing chairs. This experienced, versatile company globally markets collections ranging from the most classic styles to new trends in design.

Production

From design and planning, processing, assembly and painting through to upholstery, all the manufacturing stages are carried out internally, in a technologically advanced facility that is ethical and respectful of the environment.

The Modalità wooden seating collection features primarily oak, ash, beech and walnut sourced exclusively from sustainably managed European plantations. Each individual consignment of raw timber is carefully selected to guarantee its quality and deposited in the Company’s special storage area, ready for the next stages of processing.

Quality

Carefully chosen suppliers, the use of selected materials and the artisanal skills of our workers guarantee a high level of quality thanks to the continuous controls carried out throughout the manufacturing cycle.

Skilled workers carry out the sawmill and carpentry operations directly in the company factory, using traditional crafting techniques. In the next stage, the semi-finished products undergo finishing in the immediate vicinity of the factory, under direct control. The seats are then manually assembled one by one with the utmost care being paid to every single detail.

In the painting department, the unfinished chairs are coated with water-based non-toxic paints, which enhance the natural appearance of wood whilst respecting the environment. A choice of different colours allows us to meet all requirements and create multiple combinations with the fabrics and leathers of the upholstery, which is sourced from the best Italian and international textile companies. The upholstery workshop is also located inside the factory and provides bespoke quality workmanship.
